A Successful Marriage, To Marry or Not To Marry

The guest are present and the preacher waits, with the groom, as the bride's maids, escorted by a groomsman, walk the aisle the bride will soon travel. Suddenly she appears. Happy and an eye to behold, her eyes never leave those of her soon to be husband. After the Pastor pronounces them man and wife, the deal is consummated with a kiss. Usually, there's some sort of entertainment, such as a reception, where guest and the married couple celebrate as man and wife. She tosses the bouquet, he tosses the garter and soon after, they make their get away to start the honeymoon, and hopefully, a Happily Ever After.

Listening to Her, Even When You Disagree

Has your wife ever provided advice or information that you initially blew off as unimportant because you disagreed with it? Then later you find out that she's right.

My wife - on more than one occasion - told me that several acquaintances of mine did not have my best interest at heart. Almost all of the time, I would disagree. "You just don't like him or her," I would proclaim. Of course she in-turn would disagree. Later on down the road as time past, her perception of that particular individual turned out to be correct.
